Situated on Big Cypress Bayou just 20 minutes west of Caddo Lake—the largest natural cypress wetland in the American South—the region has accumulated documented sightings and swamp lore stretching back more than a century.

The Annual Texas Bigfoot Conference

Founded in 2001 by researcher Craig Woolheater and the Texas Bigfoot Research Center, the Texas Bigfoot Conference is the longest-running cryptid research gathering in the Lone Star State.
