Sedberry House
Raised mansion built in 1869 at the height of the steamboat era. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #70000756) and a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Features winding cast-iron staircases, stained glass windows, and elaborate ceiling rosettes made for gas chandeliers — a stunning example of Jefferson's antebellum prosperity.

- Vernon Dalhart BirthplaceBirthplace of Vernon Dalhart — the first country music artist to sell a million records (1924). Born Marion Try Slaughter in Jefferson, TX in 1883, he took the stage name from two nearby Texas towns.
- Jefferson Jimplecute Newspaper OfficeHistoric office of the Jefferson Jimplecute, one of the oldest newspapers in Texas. The unusual name is said to stand for 'Join Immediately My Plucky Little Confederate Thoroughbred Entirely.'
